Believers Destiny Getaway is located about 25km outside of Swellendam, in the Heidelberg direction.
We are on a smallholding. We are totally off-grid and only have solar power for electricity and gas for hot water. Therefor please don’t bring any hairdryers, curlers, straighteners or anything else which works with an element because you won’t be able to use it on the solar system.
There are fans supplied for you in the house which can work with the solar power.
This house is an eco-friendly house, so please help us to create an awareness towards the environment.
The water here is clean rain water and is safe to drink.
This self catering accommodation is child- and pet-friendly.
This unit is fenced off for pets. Pets are welcome by arrangement.
Please note that there is also a fee for your pets' stay.
The house has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 5 guests at a time.
The main bedroom has a queen bed as well as a single bed.
The second bedroom is fitted with a double bed. All of the rooms have blankets for those cold winter nights. Keep in mind that we do not supply warm blankets if your pets are coming along. Then you need to bring your own.
All linen and 1towel per guest are provided.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet , baby bath and a low basin, ideal for children.
Hand wash, toilet spray, 2 toilet rolls and 1towel per guest are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with:
* 4-burner gas stove (JUST THE 4 PLATES, NO OVEN),
* crockery, utensils,
* fridge/freezer,
* rubbish bags,
* dishwashing liquid and cloths.
There is also tea, coffee and sugar for those who forgot to pack it in.
The open-plan lounge has comfortable seating as well as a fireplace for those cold winter nights.
On the patio, there is braai facilities with braai grid.
There is also a WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB on the patio.....
With the hot tub no electricity is required, just a bag of wood and your water will be 18-38 degrees in 1 - 3 hours. If you need to unwind and destress, this is the perfect solution, and with a glass of wine, this will be the best breakaway ever...
There is a display case, OUMA SE SPENS, with products for sale.
We have bags of BLACKWATTLE braai wood and kindle / fine wood / firestarters as well as packets of blitz.
All of these products are available at the house with arrival as well as at the lapa.
REMEMBER TO ORDER YOUR PLATTER 1 DAY IN ADVANCE. We have a few options available.
We have an awesome snack platter at the lapa with biltong, droëwors, cheeses, olives or feta cheese.
OR come and try our sourdough, thin based, pizza's.
We have a variety of double thick milkshakes and mocktails as well, to make your stay extra special.

The kitchen is fully equipped: cutlery, crockery, black bags, toothpics, sunlight liqued+cloths,4 burner gas stove, fridge/freezer. WE HAVE A WIDE VARIETY OF LOCAL WINES FOR SALE AS WELL AS HOMEMADE JAMS +PRESERVES, KEBABS, FREERANGE CHICKEN AND LOTS MORE...
